Dancing Water | A Performance by QÂNÂT Music & Rahaavi Dance Studio
Creative & Cultural
Hosted by
Rahaavi Persian Dance Studio (Berlin)
In moments of collective grief, we believe art is not an escape—it is a refuge. It is a way to process the weight we carry and to find the strength to keep moving. We invite you to a night of mystical music, narrative dances, and shared roots in April. In this event, live Iranian–Mallorcan music by QÂNÂT comes to life on stage alongside performances by Rahaavi Studio, inspired by the rhythms, poetry, and cultural heritage of Central Asia, Iran, the Mediterranean & Balearic Isles, Spain.
📍 Theater Pool Berlin (Neue Bühne Friedrichshain)
📅 April 2th & 3th from 19 to 22
🎟 Ticket & Registration - Early bird & community seats only available until March 5th
Seating is limited, and we would love for you to access discounted tickets that are available only until March 5, 2026. Book your ticket and join us on this night of remembrance and shared stories.
More about the performance
Dancing Water is a cross-cultural live performance night where music and dance flow across borders — from Persia to the Mediterranean, featuring Iranian and Mallorcan artists (QÂNÂT Music) and live dance performances by Rahaavi Studio.
About QÂNÂT Music
Drawing from deep-rooted oral histories and ancestral sounds, QÂNÂT blends old Balearic work songs with the modal textures of Central Asian music—including influences from Iran, Turkey, Tajikistan, and the ancient region of Khorasan. At the heart of the project is the remarkable melodic kinship between Balearic field songs—once sung during rural labor—and the ancient echoes of Byzantine chant. QÂNÂT bridges these traditions, crafting new musical landscapes through original compositions, instrumental dialogues, and vocal ornamentations that celebrate the shared soul of these distant-yet-connected cultures.
Music members
Pegah Khoei vocals, setar, bendir, daf
Tomeu Gomila vocals, accordion, litophone
José Miguel Puigserver double bass
